Evictions: Sheillah and Trezagah are gone!

IK tells us that it is time to evict! The time has come for SizweNtsalubaGobodo to bring the results of the evictions for tonight. IK asks Idris about the freeze task and how it made him change his game with what his mother told him, as well as Sipe and Macky2's freeze. IK feeds into the house and asks Macky2 what he felt like winning Head of House this week which meant that he automatically guaranteed himself a spot in the finale. He says it came at the right time and that it came at the right time. He says that he added Ellah.

 

IK asks the nominated housemates to stand. He asks Sheillah and Tayo if their fans have kept them in the game and immediately tells Idris, Goitse and JJ to sit. IK clearly loves the drama and the tension. Sipe and Ellah are told to sit and Tayo is told to sit. This means that Sheillah and Trezagah are evicted.

 

They get to the stage. Ellah says that she feels okay and that it felt amazing to get this far and she is proud of herself. Trezagah feels "so bad" but he is happy. IK asks Sheillah about her relationship with Nhlanhla, she says it is "complicated" but IK is having none of it, and brings up the "legal binding contract." IK asks Trezagah about the fact that he is out because he moved during the freeze task. He moved because he felt that the freeze task then was a prank. Sheillah says she will be acting. Trezagah is going to be doing more music in english.

 

We are shown Sheillah and Trezagah's moments in the show, a poignant look back at their best moments in the house. Two down, what else does Biggie have up his sleeve? Do we have a final week with ten Hotshots in the house?

Samantha and Mr. 265 have been evicted from the Big Brother Hotshots house

After 42 days of Big Brother Africa, South Africa and Malawi said goodbye for the first time. Neither looked surprised at having to leave, and were very calm as they walked out. Butterphly, however, broke down in tears watching them leave. There were hugs all round as they said goodbye, bringing the number of housmates down to twelve and leaving the gender balance in place.

Samantha has not escaped notice in the house, what with being embroiled in a love triangle of sorts with JJ and Idris. She’s had a good run, having won Head of House and the Star Metre as well. Her confidence came close to breaking when she lost Extravaganza after Extravaganza. Last week she was finally part of a winning team, but ironically she was put for eviction by Head of House Sipe.

We could not have missed Mr. 265 either, bonding with this bros and often seen in the heat of the most exciting frays in the house. He did come close to winning Head of House, but lost to Idris, who proved to be better at putting on the green. He also had intimate conversations with Butterphly, but we’ll have to wait till the end of the show to see if anything further develops between them.

Samantha told IK she had sensed an underlying tension between her and Sipe, and thus the nomination did not come as a shock. She spoke to IK about her strike, and said straight out that she would not date Idris outside the house.

Mr. 265 chatted about his altercation with Tayo, and confessed that although it had been a tough moment, it was still entertaining. As a radio and television presenter, he knows that Big Brother Africa has been a great platform, but he agreed with Figgie that housemates were lazy, and there was a lot of hard work in store for him.

There was a change to the  Extravaganza this week, as housemates were not playing for immunity – the winners would receive a message from their loved ones instead. The lucky prize, which will go a long way in bolstering the spirits of the victorious Hotshots, went to Team B for their performance.

Twist: Luis & Kacey evicted!

What a shocker! There’s yet another double eviction this week which takes the number of evicted housemates to 3 today and ten in total. 

 

In what seemed like only two housemates would be evicted tonight turned out to be a cracker when Rwandan Arthur was shown the exit door and shortly followed by Namibia’s Luis and Ghana’s Kacey.

Seven housemates were up this week and it surely seems Sheillah, Frankie, Mr.265 and Macky2 were stronger than the evicted trio. Evidently, even the housemates themselves were surprised at the mention that both Luis and Kacey had to leave under a minute!
 

Ellah had to understandably shed a tear or two when Kacey had to leave and so did Sipe. The rest of the guys gave them hugs and wished them well.
 

During his eviction interview, Kacey said that he was happy that he had to leave the house because he was going to meet his wife and his daughter Jojo.
 

And we guess Luis also can’t wait to meet Mira after three weeks!
 

All the best for our three Hotshots; Arthur, Luis and Kacey, the future is definitely bright.

Rwandan Arthur Evicted From Big Brother House

Rwandan Big Brother Africa rep and debutante Arthur has been evicted from the Big Brother Hotshots house after four weeks of showcasing massive talent and a great sense of humor. 

 

The actor, comedian and dancer leaves the house leaving behind country mate Frankie who was also up this week after being put up by HoH JJ reasoning that he (Frankie) had no respect for him as a man.
 

Arthur becomes the first eviction victim of the day which leaves us with Sheillah, Frankie, Mr.265, Macky2, Luis and Kacey still in danger of the gallows tonight.
 

A well fought battle indeed, all the best Arthur, those talents are definitely going to land him bigger things in the future, especially the comedy part of it.
 

Who follows Arthur?

Tanzania's Laveda becomes the sixth housemate to leave the Big Brother Hotshots house.

Tanzanian lass Laveda has been evicted from the Big Brother house after 21 days of total entertainment and being real and showcasing massive talent. 
 

The saxophonist who won the first ever HoH crown in week one courtesy of her skills behind the saxophone couldn’t beat off stiff competition from the other nominees of the week.
 

Her eviction comes at a time when she’s been criticized by some Big Brother Africa fans for her latest antics which could have probably played against her.
 

She leaves the house with only one Tanzanian Idris who had actually feared for her eviction during his heated conversations with Kacey, Samantha and Ma’m Bea yesterday.
 

Laveda’s boot also means that she’s the six female housemate to be evicted after Resa, Mira, Lilian, Esther and Sabina.
 

Go well Laveda, the future is definitely bright!

Sabina is the third person evicted tonight

In a shock twist, Big Brother was not satisfied with just two evicteees leaving the house tonight, but a third housemate was evicted. After initially being told she was safe, Sabina was the shock third housemate leaving the house. There was a tie and it went down to the percentage vote. This is now the fifth woman to be evicted from Big Brother Hotshots. There are many tears, hugs and shocked faces, Samantha, in particular can't quite believe what has just happened.

Following on the heals of Lilian, Esther and last week, Resa and Mira, Kenyan Sabina was hugely popular in the house and across Africa. Whilst Elani perform their hit song "Zuzu" to an excited and luvely audience, she is whisked out of the house straight onto the live stage for her interview with IK where she carries her Kenyan flag with pride.

IK asks her about Permithias and her connection with him and she discusses that she hoped that she portrayed herself "exactly as I am." She feels good that she is going to be able to go home and see her 7 month old baby, she is looking forward tro getting back to her acting career.

It has been a night of shock, joy for Tayo and disappointment for three ladies, Lilian, Esther and Sabina. What more does Biggie have in store for the housemates and for Africa? Are we headed towards an all male house? Big brother Hotshots is already dishing up surprises and intrigue, stay tuned to keep up to date with this fascinating show.

The Road Ends For Lilian!

The second evictee in tonight’s second eviction show is the pretty twerking queen Lilian from Nigeria. Lilian has been known to Africa for her twerking and  out going character who was all the time either talking or smiling. Perhaps Africa might have started to love her for the untimely dancing too.

 

She has today been one of the most confident Housemates in  their Nomination Diary sessions as she told Biggie that she  was going no where and that she  was to see him soon. 

 

On her live eviction, the Nigerian exotic dancer said that she was very shocked to be evicted tonight! She had time to have a look at her video  footage from the  opening day and during her two weeks stay in the house.

 

Lilian and Esther have together been   evicted and  have both followed Resa and Mira  who went last week as the hotshots who have  failed to bag the grand prize money.
 
 The sad part of the day has been that  the game has lost two amazing friends who were the house’s renowned dancers. 
 
This now leaves the battle to 22  housemates who are to live in  the Big Brother House for the  next 49 days.

The Road Ends For Esther!

Uganda has suffered a set back as far as Big Brother Hotshots is concerned after one of her reps Esther fondly called ‘Small Pepper’ got evicted this evening. 

 

The outspoken, jovial and dance queen couldn’t beat off stiff competition from the likes of JJ, Tayo, Permithias, Laveda, Sabina, Frankie, Lilian and fellow country-mate Ellah (who was just swapped by reigning HoH Samantha).
 

The pint-sized Hotshot leaves the house after a fortnight of entertaining Africa and just being herself.
 

Meanwhile, it’s been a double eviction as Nigerian ‘twerk queen’ Lilian also received the dreaded boot. The pair’s eviction leaves Uganda and Nigeria with one housemate each currently.
 

After Resa and Mira’s eviction last week, the house now remains with only 22 Hotshots. Seems like the show is slowly but surely moving on.

How Africa Voted: Week 1

According to this week's votes: Resa and Mira received the lowest votes.

One housemate received two country votes: Macky2. Eleven housemates received 1 country vote each; Arthur, Butterphly, Esther, Goitse, Idris, M'am Bea, Nhlanhla, Permithias, Sabina, Sipe, Tayo and Trezagah. Twelve housemates received 0 country votes, which means that the tie breaker rule came into effect.

According to the Big Brother Africa rules: if the Popularity vote does not yield clear evictees and there is a deadlock between 2 or more housemates, the percentage vote from each of the 15 regions will be added together and divided by 14 in order to generate an across-the-board percentage, which will then ascertain who stays and who goes.

Therefore, the two housemates that were evicted as per the tie-breaker rules are: Resa and Mira.

Mira is Evited from Big Brother Africa

After saying good bye to Zambia’s Resa as the fist hotshot to get evicted  from the Big Brother house, Africa’s votes also decided to send Mira from Mozambique home. 

 

Leaving her beau Luis and country man Macky2 still battling for  the $300,000, Mira has become the second housemate to leave the game out of the 26 who entered a week ago. This now leaves the  journey to 24 housemates planing for the grand prize.

 

In her chat with host IK on the Live eviction stage, she said that it was a good feeling to be in the house and she was grateful for  the opportunity though at the same time she feels good to be outside the house. ” I miss my family and my phone,” Mira said.

 

About Luis, she said he’s an amazing guy she has ever met and  she likes him as she watched their kissing  video clip. And about her kiss with Nhlanhla, all she had to was….he’s my brother!

 

We going to miss Mira  and …..we wish the best to Mira in all her endeavors.

Resa is evicted from Big Brother Hotshots

The first ever evictions of Big Brother Hotshots claimed 25-year-old Zambian Events Planner, MC and Public Speaker Resa, she sadly leaves the game just after a week! 

 

Just before host IK called out her name, all the housemates (seated and standing) were evidently very distressed and wondered what Biggie had in store for them, well, a while later, Resa was told that she had to leave the house much to her surprise.
 

Interestingly. she didn’t want anybody to give her a good bye kiss or a hug, Idris stood in her way for a hug but she declined to have one and thus left the house as Biggie counted down one minute.
 

Go well Resa, you surely had a great journey though it had to end prematurely!

Resa’s Eviction blues

On Sunday night’s Launch Show Housemates learnt that all but reigning Head of House Laveda would be up for a possible axing on this week’s Live Show. Having only just set foot in Big Brother’s lavish House, these news came as a shock.

Most Housemates had immersed themselves into the much anticipated experience of being a Housemate, paying little attention to their looming fate on Sunday. Most except for Resa, who passed her unease onto bosom buddy Sipe.

The pair seemed removed from the hustle and bustle this morning as they shared their jitters about possible upcoming Evictions. It was not the first time Resa had raised speculation since the announcement. The feisty Zambian poet even suggested that Biggie wouldn’t dare kick anyone out after just one week.

Little did she know that Biggie always reserved that right to serve Housemates their marching orders.

Sipe seemed to have absorbed Resa’s scepticism as her morning looked decidedly glum.

We reckon these two dames should chuck all that worrying out with the dish water and focus rather on showcasing their talent. After all is this not Big Brother Hotshots?
