[Day 10: 16:15] Nhlanhla treats Sheillah to a much needed massage after she expressed that she wasn't feeling the greatest.

Flirt alert! What's going on between Sheilla and Nhlanhla?

Conversation was flowing in the house, as the housemates took it easy with a late-night snack. Samantha was getting passionate with a heart-to-heart, although Laveda was hardly captivated and Sheillah’s focus was elsewhere. 
 
 It turned out to be Nhlanhla receiving her undivided attention, as they edged closer and closer together. Things got interesting when they started chatting to Mira, proposing a double date with her and Luis. Sheillah became more and more touchy-feely as the night progressed, happily draping herself over Nhlanhla.

Outside, JJ and M’am Bea struck up an intimate exchange, talking about finding love. She seemed to be turning into a motherly figure, having chatted heartily to Luis earlier in the evening as well. Kacey Moore, chilling in bed, was chatting to Resa, already cosy in her pyjamas. It seemed to be all talk, no action between the housemates. Were they holding back as part of their strategy? Gauging the situation is part of the game, and none of the representatives want to make the wrong move.

But as they headed into the early hours of the morning, and the drinks kept coming, the housemates let down their guard. They had already been pairing up in various assortments. Tayo and Samantha seemed to have a thing going, but after the party she barely acknowledged him, rather carrying on with her spirited discussions. Some relationships may end up being merely platonic, or perhaps strategy, but as for the flying sparks, were they a budding romance or fatal attraction?

Sheillah was worried it could have been the latter. After flirting with Nhlanhla all evening she started pushing him away as he moved in for a kiss. He managed to rain a gentle shower of caresses on her forehead, but it went no further. Will the kiss happen? Africa is waiting on the edge of their seats.

Newly discovered entrepreneurs: Nhlanhla and JJ

 

With the task in progress and housemates furiously working on their individual posters, Nhlanhla and JJ engage in a deep and meaningful conversation.

It was perhaps fate that they were seated next to each other whilst executing their different tasks. The conversation developed and became quickly intense between the housemates.

They spoke about their individual careers and hopes for the future. Whilst speaking on JJ's career of acting, they both agreed that it was demanding and required one to be passionate and devoted in the art- Nhlanhla even alluded to how Beyonce Knowles (American RnB artist) forgot when last she had had a meal because she was so busy! They continued motivating each other with JJ saying that Nhlanhla should definitely pursue his law degree as he was still fairly young.

Upon JJ sharing his interest and background in farming, Nhlanhla exclaimed that he and JJ were meant to meet, insinuating that they will partner up in future projects. Nhlanhla also shared that he has a passion for farming, and not just for the present moment but sustainably for the future as well.

The conversation went on to healthy eating and the politics of having a leadership that enforces laws to ensure that suppliers produce foods that don’t carry any kind of poisoning.

With these two establishing a business-inspired relationship, could it result in a formidable alliance against the other housemates? Or will it distract the both of them from their strategies if any? Will the conversation they had come up again and develop soon?

Nhlanhla From South Africa

 

Nhlanhla, Age: 24

Nhlanhla is from Witbank in South Africa, and is a Business Analyst, Actor and Model with an Honours degree in Information Systems. He loves fresh butternut soup, lamb shank & vegetables and cottage cheese pie. His favourite books include Animal Farm and The Great Gatsby and he enjoys Game of Thrones, Shameless, Suits and Heroes on TV. He lists Brad Pitt and Will Smith as two of his favourite actors.

His favourite place in South Africa is the Groenkloof Nature Reserve in Pretoria and the best things about the continent as a whole are the people and their strength & resilience. Amsterdam made a big impression on him at a young age when he went there and learnt a lot about himself and personal growth.

His mother is his role model, because she sacrificed a lot to get him where he is today and taught him a great many things. Together with his Grandmother, she has influenced his life a great deal because they were always strong-willed and gently guided him through life.

Nhlanhla entered Big Brother Hotshots because he's been a fan ever since he saw his first season on DStv. "I just knew that I wanted to be on the show myself, and wanted to take the opportunity to have my personality spread all over the world". He thinks having the continent's eyes on him 24/7 will be "nerve-wracking", but says it's a great feeling knowing he'll be watched by the continent and can influence the viewers.

He describes himself as "crazy, eccentric, narcissistic, energetic and spiritual" and enjoys the fact that he’s always positive and optimistic, and always sees the beauty in others.

Nhanhla thinks of himself as both street and book-smart. He has an alter-ego for his wild side and his strategy is to approach things as you would a game of chess; to use people, their strengths and weaknesses as pawns in his rise to the top.
